"It's a String Thing" #206

It's Tuesday, your good news day!

With our 206th challenge underway, we are just two weeks shy of celebrating our 4th birthday.  Gear up and get ready!  Loosen up those tangling skills and join in the fun.

We begin this week with a rather loopy string ~

IAST #206 by Adele Bruno, CZT
The tangles we will use this week include:

Funbeby Beate Winkler, CZT
This pattern has blossomed on many tanglers' tiles posted on the internet lately.  A bit of research led to Beate's blog (Bea Bea Design) where her step out is posted.  Funbea is organic, can be wispy or weighted, and blends well with other tangles.

Pach by Judy Okawa
This pattern came up in conversation in my last class - it is a favorite of my friend and brand new CZT, Donnie Adamczyk.  I thought this week would be a good time to get reacquainted with it.

Yincut by Maria Thomas
This dates back to 2009, ancient in Zentangle® terms (wink).  It works well in any shape and size of grid and becomes very dimensional with shading.

Simply pencil the string line onto your tile and tangle away! Keep in mind that string lines are suggestions and let the patterns lead the way.

Here are the (Not so) Official Guidelines:
* Challenges are posted on Tuesdays.
*Use the string posted for the week and some or all of the suggested patterns
* Submit a photo of your tile saved as jpg or scan your tile (300 dpi or higher) and save as a jpg
*Email your jpg file as an attachment to - brunoadelem@gmail.com
*Entries are to be submitted by Saturday evenings.
*Photos, notes, and 'Best of Show' are posted on Mondays.

Send in your photos - you will encourage and inspire fellow Zentangle® enthusiasts all over the world.  WHEN YOU SIGN YOUR NAME, PLEASE INCLUDE WHERE YOU LIVE.
FOR EXAMPLE:   ADELE BRUNO (FLORIDA)

PLEASE NOTE: It is not necessary for you to have a blog or website to participate.
In order to eligible for the drawing, you must send in your completed tile.
